The Báiki of Sápmi Nation
The Sámi people are the indigenous people of northern Scandinavia. They are considered to be the only remaining indigenous tribe in Europe. Their ancestral homelands exist along the annual reindeer migration routes between northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. In Sámi culture, reindeer are sacred — they are essential to nearly every aspect of living.
Riddu Riddu Indigenous Festival
Riddu Riđđu is a Sámi international Indigenous festival in Northern Norway that happens annually every July. They feature many of their own artists, but also include indigenous musicians, performers, and educators from all around the world. For more than 30 years, Riddu Riđđu has worked to create more awareness and pride for the Sámi people.

Our mission is to inspire and educate people about the importance of indigenous wisdom, traditional ecological knowledge, holistic environmental stewardship, sacred cultural landscapes, regenerative organic agriculture, seed sovereignty, biodiversity preservation, plant medicines, ancestral healing, wildlife conservation, and permaculture design for the survival and protection of our planet. Our commitment is to elevate the voices of indigenous elders, cultural leaders, permaculture educators, seed keepers, and ecology experts around the world, through documentary films, photography, and storytelling.
Our ultimate goal is to inspire and educate people to live more sustainably by reconnecting with the Earth in sacred ways.
