Sacred Ecology is a documentary film project, production company, and online publication about the importance of cultural and biodiversity preservation.
Our mission is to inspire and educate people about the importance of indigenous wisdom, traditional ecological knowledge, holistic environmental stewardship, sacred cultural landscapes, regenerative organic agriculture, seed sovereignty, biodiversity preservation, plant medicines, ancestral healing, wildlife conservation, and permaculture design for the survival and protection of our planet. Our commitment is to elevate the voices of indigenous elders, cultural leaders, permaculture educators, seed keepers, and ecology experts around the world, through documentary films, photography, and storytelling. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and educate people to live more sustainably by reconnecting with the Earth in sacred ways.

Our Team
Founder & Director
Christine Peterson is a filmmaker, photographer, and environmentalist who is deeply passionate about organic agriculture, indigenous rights, and environmental conservation. She founded Sacred Ecology as a means to bring forward the voices of indigenous elders, cultural leaders, and ecology experts to inspire and educate the global community to take a stand in defense of our natural world. Additionally, she is a senior visual effects compositor, designer, and artist who has worked on over 40 major Hollywood film productions in the past 15+ years.
